I am newly natural about three months fully and eight months total without a perm. I am absolutely loving it!!!!! It's like discovering a whole new part of myself. I have had a perm for as far back as I can remember so I really dont have a vivid memory of my natural texture. . My last perm was december 2007 and I bc'd five months later in May of 2008. I have just recently began to rock my twa and am amazed at how fast its growing. Thanks to this website and nappturality.com I was not totally lost when it comes to my hair.My hair texture is a little bit of cotton, some coils , and a whole lot of naps and I love it!!! Feel free to comment or hit me up I'm like a sponge when it comes to my hair and am constantly looking for new ideas. I dont really have a lot of people around me who can relate so I appreciate the oppurtunity to communicate with others who may be experiencing the same challenges as myself. I feel so spiritual when it comes to this like this is truly a step in loving who I am fully as a black woman. (not to knock anyone with a perm) WHen I step out my door now I feel so unique and different. Someone asked me if I would ever perm my hair again and i asked why would I do that. That same person is against plastic surgery and cant understand why people would go under the knife to alter how God made them well hellooooo lol Why would I go under the "fire" to alter what he gave me to crown my head. I can point out a million flaws on my body and my napps are definetely not one of them..
