I have been natural since December 30, 2002. I transitioned from a relaxer that I had had since I was 12 or 13 back to my nappy state for four months then I did the big chop (BC.)

I big chopped all the way down to a teeny weeny afro. About 2 inches in the front, one inch all around, and scissor length (as short as she could go without clippers) in the very back.) I had at least 5 or 6 inches of new growth when I chopped. I have a lot of hair, not thick in the traditional sense, just full. My hair is way too fine to be thick.

My hair type is: fragile, elastic, fine, curly, nappy, kinky, soft, springy, and absorbant. All of my hair is coiled, and S-shaped with tight curls in the middle and looser curls in the front.
