- Hi, thanks for visiting! I am currently on a journey to strong, healthy, natural hair, I figured this would be a cool way to track my progress and learn all I can along the way.
I got my first relaxer at the age of 8 and had been hooked to the creamy crack ever since. I hadn't even fathom the thought of going natural until about a year and a half ago after being fed up with how thin, flat and dry my hair had always looked. I went from thick, long hair that was bsl to thin, shoulder length hair that I felt I couldn't do anything with. I needed a change. I wanted my healthy hair back. I had tried once before for a short while going natural but caved right before I was about to go on vacation for a week. I couldn't deal with the hassle of having to do my hair every day so I got a relaxer. But here I am once again and this time in it for the long run. I'm learning so much from others about how to care for my transitioning hair. I only hope to learn more and continue to be inspired by all the other naturals and ladies that are transitioning out there.
My last relaxer was June 26, 2011
I plan to transition long term. Maybe a year and a half to 2 years.
