We are group of Russian Radio Amateurs from Ekaterinburg Russia. We all like contesting and therefore are members of the Ural Contest Group.
We like going to Maldives, It is nice combination of contesting, DXing and holidays there. We had been operating under 8q7dv call sign since 1997 almost every year.

These pictures were taken in Nov-Dec 2004 and March 2005, First time we missed tsunami by only a few days. Then in March 2005 there was another earthquake in Indonesia but fortunately no tsunami.
There are plans to go to Sun island again in November 2005, Anyway we left all of the antennas and some equipment there on the island so we hope to come back.
