- I am a kind of anti social person. I love peace, quiet, and love having coffee in my backyard with my visiting deer.
I live in the country in the middle of nowhere. Port Townsend WA is about 45 miles from where I live so I go there about 2 times a year to shop. It is a lovely town where chain stores are not allowed althugh a Safeway did sneak in a few years ago. I love doing business the old fashioned way where you know the shop owner, the profit stays in your community and although things cost a bit more, all employees are friendly citizens who still hold that the customer is (almost) always right.
I think I was born 100 years too late as I always imagine things were better before technology took over and made us less friendly and we seem to care less about others. Instead of visiting with a person in the grocery store now it seems too many people just chat on the cell phone and I learn way more about their business than I want or need to know.
Suffice to say I am a bit of an Andy Rooney Cranky person.
