newly_nappy.....finally updated, come check me out
hi, i am on here to document my natural hair journey, as well as getting advice from any of u ladies who can help me out. i believe that this hair site will help to keep me encouraged and help me not to go back to the relaxer (although i am happy with the new growth that i am starting to see already!!!). i have had a relaxer since i was about 4 or 5 years old because it was "too nappy". i am going natural so that i can see what i have been missing for all these years :-)

my last relaxer was april 12, 2008 and i havent looked back yet. my next step will be the bc (or a mini chop...just depends on how brave i get).


OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1/20/09: first off, I want to say congratulations to barack obama on becoming the first black president (yay!), but most importantly for being the change this country needs. Thank GOD! And secondly, I want to apologize for not putting up any pictures of my bc. I bc'd on 10/21/08! I have some pictures from that day and some after that day as well, but only a few days after I cut it off I got micros. Then after I took out the micros, I got a sew in (I am currently wearing it now). While I love my beautiful texture of nappy hair, I am not yet used to the length lol, so I will be finding ways to cover my head until im ok with the length. I think I will be wearing my hair out either this spring or this summer, but for right now I guess its a good that im hiding my hair because ohio's weather is cold and unpredictable! Thanx for reading and hopefully my pics will be up soon :-P
