Bermudabeauty 3 years down on to year 4

Three years down. Now on my fourth year! Time flew by! I can't believe I am now a natural beauty. This is far from the days when I would relax every 5-6wks because of how fast and thick my hair grew. My last relaxer was 1/20/09. I transitioned for 3 months. And I am now 100% natural

Hair so far in 2012: doing more protective styles. Having less split ends. Co washing 2-3 times a week. It seems the more i co wash the less tangles i have which means less manipulation less breakage. Making small progress. Hope the last layer of my hair is past bsl by December. I realize i gotta cut myself fome slack..i have color treated bleached hair so my ends will be a liitle more dry and prone to breakage. Also im done comparing my growth with others...my hair is unique and i gotta stop stressing, let my hair grow at its own pace!

HAIR TROUBLES 2011!!!***The longer my hair is getting I am experiencing knots. And I think the tangle teezer has given me mid shaft splits and split ends that is hendering my growth retention. Also learned my hair HATES PROTEIN. Twist outs=tangled ends. I must cover my hair with a scarf to retain moisture. My ends need oil almost daily.

HAIR UPDATE: July 2011: I got a good trim, suck my hair in a weave for approximately two months and got the length back. I have to change my hair regimine in an effort to keep on track. I want to be BSL by January. So here is my new 5 step hair regimine.

Step 1.) Co-wash once a week and wash followed by deep condition once a week with the products listed below.

Step 2.) I co-wash or shampoo & deep condiiton in four sections. I don't bradi or twist I just section off my hair with 3 clips. I put product on each section then rinse out.

Step 3.) Squeeze out excess water then I apply kinkly curly, followed by Redken Curlwise, then jojoba oil.

Step 4.) Next I put my hair in approximately 10 braids ( I dont braid my hair completely to the ends) put a litle extra jojoba oil on the ends..then I put a 1/4inch flexi rod on my ends. Just like Curly Nikki.

Step 5.) I place a scarf on my hair and go to bed on a satin pillow case.

-Shampoo:
--Shea Moisture Hibuscus & Coconut Shampoo (has protein so I use once a month)
--Neutrogena Triple Moisture Shampoo

Deep Conditioner:
-Neutrogena Deep Recovery Mask
-Aussie Most 3 Minute Miracle

Leave-in-Condioner:
-Kinky Curly Kot today as a leave in conditioner after cowash

Styling Products:
- Redken Curlwise 14 (as a style cream for wash & gos or for hold on my braid outs.)
-For Soft & Moisturized curls I use Wave Nouveau Styling lotion for 2nd & 3rd day braid out
-Jojoba Oil

Night Time: Tie my hair and sleep on satin pillowcase

Hair Color
-Gave up on doing my own hair color. I have way too much hair. I now goto Ulta Salon and white girl Taryn colors my hair with Redken hair color ( I have lots of gray).
