My Regimen/Mi Régimen: I wash my hair once a week. The night before, I put together an overnight conditioning formula consisting of:
1. Cantu Shea Butter (2 tbsps), EVOO (½ cup), and Carrot Oil (¼ cup). a. Part hair in sections of four. b. Generously apply to each section. c. After all sections are coated: I braid, bantu knot, then cover with a plastic shower cap or saran wrap.
The following morning, I sit under a heating cap for 15 minutes then: 1. Suave Clarifying Shampoo to ensure the conditioning formula is out. 2. La Bomba Shampoo 3. La Bomba Conditioner or La Bomba Conditioner con Crema de Aguacate: Sit under dryer or heating cap for 15 minutes. 4. La Bomba Rinse: Apply after deep conditioning. Massage for 5 minutes then rinse. 5. La Bomba Leave-In Conditioner and TRESemmè Heat Protective Spray.
6. La Bomba Shine Drops: For sheen & hydration.
Protective Styling: Combed out & moisturized wash n gos (my blowdryer has a diffuser), updos, creative scarf styles, etc. The key to retaining my growth is:
1. MOISTURE: I saturate the hell out of my hair w/: a. Doo Gro Mega Thick Growth Oil. b. Sulfur Solutions Hair Serum Complexx. c. Hawaiian Silky Miracle Worker 14 in 1. d. Eco Styler Krystal Styling Gel (smooth edges). 2. DEEP CONDITIONING 3. LITTLE OR NO HEAT: My cousin (professional hairstylist) styles my hair (blowdown/El flip) once a month. 4. DRINKING PLENTY OF WATER

*NOTE: I did the big chop! I am now 100% natural. To clarify, I waited til my natural hair grew a lil past APL then BC'ed. My last relaxer was over a year ago. It has a curly wavy texture & about brastrap length. What more can I say..I am a proud Afro-Platano embracing her natural curls : ).
