19 Aug 2010: When I initially Big Chopped, I gave myself one (1) year to be a product junky. I am just recently beyond my one year mark and I think I have narrowed it down to a line that I really like. So far Bee Mine products are my choice. I did recently however order a few Safi products from an Etsy store that I like. Truthfully, I have yet to try them on my hair but I like them for both my kids and yes I will try them myself when my current twists come out.
I have also resolved to strictly co-wash and only shampoo as needed. This has been the hardest change for me. Honestly I haven't made the change, but it is the current plan. My goal is to retain moisture and get my hair the healthiest it can be.
13 June 2010: Just over one year later. I am so happy I decided to go natural. I definitely must admit it has been and still is a challenge but I never plan to go back. My hair is growning well and thicker than it ever was with a relaxer. I have learned a lot over this last year but there is still much to learn. I still haven't quite pinned down the products that works best for my hair but I have been able to eliminate some from the line-up.
I am currently on a natural hair journey. My last relaxer was January 2009. I BC'd May 30, 2009. For the first 3-4 months post BC, I had no idea what I was doing. Around October, I was introduced to CurlyNikki.com.
