I'm only on here to track my natural hair journey and to meet women who are or have already been down the road I am on now.

My last perm was Dec. 2007. I BC March 2008.

I am so excited about this journey and finally established a hair routine that has worked for me. I shampoo (only if I have to) and condition with Burt' Bees Grapefruit and Sugar Beets once a week. I rinse every night that I work out in the shower to remove the salt in my hair from sweating and follow up with a leave in conditioner. I deep condition with Olive Oil replenishing Pak every once a month and I do a hot oil treatment with Africa's Best Herbal Oil once a month 2 weeks from when I did my deep condition.. I oil my scalp with Hollywood's Best Olive Oil and I use 6-n-1 and Biofusion Olive Oil Moisturizer daily. Everyday is a learning experience and I am still absorbing knowlege.

I am also very active. I work out at least 60 minutes 5 to 6 days a week. If you live a active lifestyle this website provides tips to follow to keep your hair looking fine.

I also watch my calorie intake and try to make healthy food choices. I drink half my weight in ounces of water daily. I am using sparkpeople.com for my weight loss journey which has been 65 pounds since starting in Jan 2008-Jan 2009. I'm now just working on maintaining and reducing my body fat percentage.
