- During March of this year I decided to transition my hair from relaxed to natural. My last relaxer was January '07.
After my last relaxer, I noticed that my scalp was extremely irritated. I new immediately that it was from the chemicals. I also had my first perm breakage ever at the middle of my nape. I began to search the internet to find out how to care for my hair and stumbled upon the idea of going natural. Over the following month I fell in love with the idea of being natural and wanted so desperately to allow my hair to be what God made it.
So off I go to discover who I am, without being defined by my hair and what others think it should be.
