Hello,

After having a relaxer for 11 years i'm ready to go back to being natural. Officially on july 10 of 2007 i decided to transition. So far it has been an exciting journey. I'm and really interested in what is stored ahead.

My regimen is pretty simple. I only wash once a week, normally on sundays. I shampoo with either CON (green label) or Herbal Essence Hello Hydration shampoo. Then i'll condition with Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Moisturizing conditioner. When that is done i deep condition. I alternate between Neutrogena Triple Moisture hair mask and ORS hair Mayonaisse. Normally i try and sit under the dryer for 30 minutes but if i dont feel like pulling out the dryer i'll leave the conditioner on for about 1-2 hours.

In the warmer months i would airdry in plaits, a pony tail or my hair claw. But now that its cooler i'm roller setting every sunday. For that i just use some Infusium 23 or some other leave in (I forgot the name right now I'll get back with it). When my hair is roller setted my moisturizer is ORS olive oil. But when i air dry i use either Care free curl or S-Curl to moisturize.

As for styles its fairly simple. I'm always wearing a bun, a hair claw or a "tuck" I never wear my hair down due to a very uneven cut that i'm afraid to get fix (lol). I also dont wear ponytails because i'm still a little uncomfortable with my length.

When i air dry i put IC fantasia gel to lay my hair down. I'm transitioning so i have to blend my hair in. I also put some mango butter on my ends before i clip them up. Normally when i air dry i do a co wash in the middle of the week because of all the gel i put in my hair. When i roller set i use the ors olive oil and a little mango butter for my ends and edges. I then put my hair in the style i want and quickly tie a satin scarf on my hair so it lays down.

Thats all i do, and my hair has made a 360 degree turn for the better.

Update on regimen 5/21/08
*Not much has changed but everything is even more simple now. On sundays i normally shampoo with CON (green label), condition with Nexxus Humectress, then i deep condtion with NTM hair mask. When i am done i apply some Nexxus Humecto leave in and then style into a bun. I'll add some of the IC gel to lay my hair down and then i'll put a scarf on top.

Depending on how i feel i'll co-wash a couple of times during the week. Normally everyother day but recently its been everyday. I use suave tropical coconut. I use the same leave in and copy the same procedure when i'm done washing as when i do sundays. My hair is always so soft now. I have average shedding and breakage is minimal.
