- I started my natural journey on accident. I know that sounds silly, but I got into working out heavily almost four years ago and constantly had micro braids done as sweating out perms were killing me. Then I got a reality check, why am I spending money on relaxers and not getting the "benefit" of it. So I stopped. I have braided my hair and worn wigs for years, but as July 10, 2009 all of that changed.
I had a blow out and was shocked at the length, then I decided just to wear it out. Being totally in the dark how to make the natural lifestyle work for me I started searching out on the net and have come across some fantastic sites that have helped me start to embrace wearing my natural hair.
Regimen
Winter 09/10
Cowash - On the evening I go to the gym, 3-4 times a week
Shampoo - Every other week
Deep Condition - Every weekend
ACV final rinse
On damp hair apply leave in, Castor oil and butter
Twist or braid
Air dry
Occasionally I do oil rinses, but I think I have gotten my hair to a point its not mandatory
