- I started my natural journey on accident. I know that sounds silly, but I got into working out heavily almost four years ago and constantly had micro braids done as sweating out perms were killing me. Then I got a reality check, why am I spending money on relaxers and not getting the "benefit" of it. So I stopped. I have braided my hair and worn wigs for years, but as July 10, 2009 all of that changed.
I had a blow out and was shocked at the length, then I decided just to wear it out. Being totally in the dark how to make the natural lifestyle work for me I started searching out on the net and have come across some fantastic sites that have helped me start to embrace wearing my natural hair.
Regimen
Spring/Summer 2010
Cowash - On the evenings I go to the gym, 3-4 times a week
Products: VO5 Moisture Milk, Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle, GVP Conditioning Balm, Suave Coconut Conditioner
Shampoo - "may be" once a month
Products: Nature's Gate Lavender and Aloe Non SLS
Deep Condition - Every weekend
Products: L'Oreal Natures Therapy Mega Moisture Nurturing
Styling
On damp hair apply Elasta QP Mango and Olive Oil butter, mixed with GVP Sebastian Potion 9 and seal with Castor Oil
Twist with Organic Root Stimulator Lock and Twist Gel or EcoStyler Olive Oil Gel
Air dry
