I was conditioned to believe that my natural hair was difficult, unruly, wilful, ugly, won't grow and needs to be straightened to be healthy.

I believed that since I was 7 years old and for the next (almost) 3 decades I straightened my hair by any means necessary.

At 35, I stopped. And I'm discovering my hair all over again. Along with a lot of other women.

If it weren't for the support I found online, I would surely have run back to the chemicals a long time ago. Thank you, ladies for your inspiration and support.

I set up these albums to show my friends that natural hair is beautiful, versatile and GROWS. Even if your hair has broken off to what you think is beyond repair, it is possible to grow a new head of healthy, thick natural hair.
