Hi! Welcome to my photo albums and diaries - I started my 35,400km trip on a BMW 650 motorcycle in Germany and went through many countries in Europe, quite a few of the Greek islands, Turkey, Syria, the Middle East and all of Africa. These are the photos.

Africa is the toughest continent to cross on the planet and has by far the poorest countries in the world and worst roads. However, I prefer touring in Africa over anywhere else for various reasons. Its MORE EXCITING AND DIFFERENT, but also because of the people - hospitable and friendly wherever you go and the children - always smiling, bright-eyed and happy even though most of them have so little. Not to mention deserts, rainforests and unspoiled mountains and villages.

At the end of a trip its always the people you remember the most.

I have still not yet completed my goal of reaching the summit of the 20 highest mountains in Africa (7 to go).

Most of these pictures were just taken from the side of the road when I stopped to rest and I dont claim to be any kind of photographer. I would howeve appreciate any comments, and please sign my guest book.
