WEDDING UPDATE 2/27/2008:
We will tie the knot on Sept. 20, 2008. I have totally changed around my relaxer schedule so it will be timed perfectly for the wedding (See Below).

HAIR UPDATES:
1 Year Anniversary (6" Later): July 1, 2008 (Photo update, June 15)

Relaxers (every 7 weeks):
July 30
September 17 (3 days before wedding)
November 5
December 24
Note: As of February 27, 2008, I will be getting a relaxer every 7 weeks for the rest of the year.

CURRENT HAIR CHALLENGE:
Sulfur 8/MN Challenge #2 (February 10 - December 31, 2008)
I will be documenting my progress for the rest of the year, using sulfur 8/mn, On the first attempt back in August 2007 (aug-sept) I got an inch of growth and was well pleased. I just wanted to see if it would work - and It did! So I'm giving it until the end of the year to work its wonders. Because it speeds up growth, I want to see if I can be past BSL by the end of the year.
I will:
~Take my vitamins everyday
~Wash my hair 2 times per week
~Keep my hair bunned at ALL times during the challenge, unless I've recently gotten a relaxer.
~Massage scalp daily with finger tips to promote healthy blood flow.
~Grease scalp 2 times per week with sulfur/mn mix.
Can't wait for the results!

Wash Regimen:
Wash twice per week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) plus Optional Day (Monday)
~O~ Mondays
Co-Wash hair with any of my conditioners. Apply Leave-in Conditioner. Apply Sulfur 8 when airdried. Moisturize hair and Bun.
~O~ Wednesdays and Saturdays
Wash with Creme of Nature or NTM, depending on what I'm in the mood for (they both are gentle on the hair, yet very moisturizing). Deep Condition with Cathy Howse's UBH conditioner for 30 minutes under hooded dryer (on Saturdays). Deep Condition with Sizta2Sizta's gentle protein conditioner on Wednesdays. Apply NTM or Garnier Leave-in conditioner. Air dry. Apply Sulfur 8/MN. Moisturize with S2S. Bun.
**If I plan to wear it down for church or a special occasion, I will straighten with my curlers and wrap it. Or I will wear lose curls. But immediately after church or the occasion, my hair goes up in a bun.
**I clarify and treat hair with the Aphogee protein treatment on the last wash before my relaxer. This cleanses my scalp and strengthens my hair, in preparation for the relaxer a week later.
* I take 1 prenatal daily, 1 B-Complex vitamin and 5mg of Biotin. This year, I'm trying to keep it simple.
