I AM A VEGETARIAN, WHO LOVES HAIR!!!

My current regimen is really quite simple after a long period of trial, and error. I try not to manipulate my hair at all. The less I handle it, the less damage I can do to it. However I will oil my scalp every night if this is required. I only use oil based products now. No petrolium jelly, or gels etc.

Current Regimen After I take my braids out:

Remove all braids, and comb the hair out, as I do this I am putting big braids in to keep my hair under control while I take the rest out. Once all the braids are out, I make sure that all of my hair is now in braids of some kind, and then I wash it with the braids still in that way I wont have to do so much detangling after I am done. I then apply a conditioner, and put a cap on. After 30 minutes or so, I rinse it out, and apply a leave in conditioner, and I proceed with combing my hair out. I always let my hair air dry as well, and then once dry depending on my mood, I may braid it in corn rolls, and wrap it for the night.

**Deep condition every 2 weeks (Blow-dried & flat ironed at this point ONLY if I go to the salon. If not I deep condition it myself at home, and thats that.)

**Every other day or so I oil my scalp with Brahmi Amla & Shikakai Mixed together in a bottle. (I like this product, the smell is different but I can care less about that I am trying to gain some GROWTH!!!!)

**Wrap my Hair every night!

During the day I wear it straight back off my face, When I am tired of this I do one bantu knot in the back of my head, and or wear my hair up in a pony tail of some sort. I will braid my hair in cornrows between 5-7 straight to the back, and wear it like this for 1-2 weeks at a time. Of course with co-washes once a week, along with conditioning. Although I havent been liking the fact that the conditioner will leave a white film on my hair after rinsing. :( I'm not quite sure why either, because I will rinse it multiple times. Any suggestions please let me know. After the cornrows are in a while I take them out and try to wear it wavy but, my hair is so hot, I will sweat, and then its like it wants to tangle, so I usually dont get to wear a braid out longer that a day or so due to my length.

Vitamins: One a day Women's, Omega 3 (Super)--every day!
I Drink a lot of water when I can.
