BIG CHOP MAY 7, 2008!

Hey! My name says it all, I LOVE the Lord, languages, traveling, and learning about different cultures. I'm a well-rounded girl. I adore my family and close friends. I enjoy meeting new people, reading, dancing, watching movies, COOKING, catching up on sleep, and taking care of my hair!

Originally born in Lexington, South Carolina, I migrated up to Chicago and lived there for most of my life (16 years to be exact). I eventually ended up moving back down south for my Undergraduate degree and stayed in California for 2 years to work on my Masters. I completed a Masters program in Public Administration on May 22, 2010. I've lived in Spain and now I'm back in Georgia for a while to complete my Specialist and Doctoral degrees in Education Administration.

I joined this site to post photos of my transition back to my "roots" (curly roots that is :) and to learn about products and techniques that other ladies are doing to ease their process. I've had it with heat damage! My last relaxing month was January 29, 2008. (My hair was so damaged by the heat that it became permanently straight except for the newgrowth. The combination of relaxing and heat styling really damaged my hair). I BC'd on May 7th, 2008 and I'm ready for a fabulous journey back to naturalness!

Please feel free to share your regimens, products, and ideas that would help my dry, damaged, hair return to its natural moisturized state!

I'm taking a multivitamin. Yay! Hopefully this will help maintain my health inside and out!

Short term growth goal = 4 inches longer by December 2008 **REACHED GOAL!! YAY!!**
1 year growth goal = 6 inches by May 2009 **REACHED GOAL!!!**
2 year growth goal = 12 inches by May 2010 **REACHED GOAL!!!**
3 year growth goal = 18 inches by May 2011 **REACHED GOAL!!!**
REALLY Long term growth goal = 36 inches in 6 years (May of 2014)......
