I opened this album to document the progress I am making and things I have discovered as I learn how to properly take care of my own hair without chemical relaxers.

My last relaxer was in May 2007. I cut off all the relaxed hair in July 2007 then regularly trimmed to maintain a short afro for the first year. Around August 2008 I decided to allow my hair to grow back.

Since January 2009, I have primarily been using herbs and my own homemade products to maintain my hair.
