| | - Gnostic
- A Rare book & medieval manuscript dealer by profession. Semi-Professional Photographer and all around intellectual snob. The camera bag is my equivalent to the golf bag. I've been shooting seriously for a little over 12 years now. Photography for me is the perfect Zen experience. It makes you see the world around you instead of blindly moving through it. As for my work, I am hardly a purist, as we no longer use pin-hole cameras and darkroom tricks existed long before photoshop, the often asked question "did you do something to that photo" incites a sometimes hostile reaction. Although I love “talking cameras”, the equipment and techniques used are not my primary focus. The image and how it makes you feel is of ultimate importance. As of early 2004 I have gone digital and I must say that I love it. I primarily use Fotki to house the gallery of my website however interacting with other photographers is stimulating.
