I am on a journey to natural, healthy hair. I'm not doing it because I hate europeans and relaxers or whatever, I'm doing it because I am concerned about my hair's future. The women in my family have a history of balding. They have very long hair, but it thins and falls out from agressive styling. My mother's hair, which used to be waist length, was just not taken care of properly and is nearly bald because of it. Apparently she didn't know relaxers ate her soft hair up. She thinks what I'm doing is stupid, but I'm not going to be the one with the bald head...

My goal is 20" of healthy hair.

My plans never hold up, so right now I'm clipping when I get bored or see knots, I straighten every month to check my length (roller setting), and when it's not straight it's in a bun.
I don't know what to do with my hair when I want to wear it out. I want to go to a stylist, but there are no nappy stylists near me! And I don't trust normal stylists or anyone...lol...

I'm jumping on the coconut oil bandwagon, along with the ayuveda stuff.
p.S. I'm working on a new camera...please show me some sympathy...lol...
