Hey there and thank you for visiting my Hair Album. The purpose of this album is to document my hair journey from unhealthy hair to healthy hair

Here's a little of my Hair History:
I got my first perm at age nine and everything went downhill from there. My hair was never deep conditioned, and when I hit high school, I picked up some terrible hair habits. I would do terrible things to my hair like:
Hot curling everyday and on the highest heat setting
I never ever used a heat protectant, only curling wax
I slept with my hair open, never with a satin cap
No moisturizer but I did develop a love for Pink Oil Moisturizer. Blech!

I could go on and on and on............................
My hair never recovered until I made the decision in 2005 at the age of nineteen to go natural (more about that later). So I cut off most of my permed ends to about ear length and began my journey into the unknown.

I made the decision to relax my hair in November 2007 and I am loving my straight hair. The invaluable lessons I learned while natural are even more precious now that I am permed. I thank all the wonderful ladies on the online forums that helped me understand how to care for my hair and continue to encourage and inspire me throughout my journey.
