Hey Everyone!!!

I've been natural for the majority of my life, but up until December 2008 I only wore it straight, and could only handle a week max of it curly before running back to the salon. But, after taking a field position with my job where i had to be away from my stylist for 6 months, I was forced to learn how to deal with the curls. So far so good, I've discovered a vast support system in natural hair blogs. These ladies have really helped me learn how to care for my hair. Don't get me wrong, I always loved my waves, and curls, but they were hard to handle sometimes. But I'm getting pretty good at it now. I plan to use this site to document my progress. My ultimate goal is waist length (I'm currently apl), so I have a looooong way to go. But I'm up for it. :-)

My hair gurus: nikki (www.curlynikki.com) and zhara (www.fotki.com/zhara) Definitely check them out if you haven't already. Pretty much everything I try out i got from one of their sites. They know healthy hair!!! lol

Leave Ins: Oyin Handmade Juices & Berries, DevaCare One Conditioner

Sealers: Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil

Gels/Stlyers: Aubrey Organics B5 Gel, Fantasia IC Gel

Hair Treatments: Jamilla Henna

Growth Aids/Supplements: Biotin, MSM, tea(recipe I got from Zhara)
