I started using this site in March of '08 because I've seen how effective it is in allowing you to track your growth and really see progress.
I consider '08 to be the beginning of my 'hair journey' because in the beginng of the year I became more aware of hair care (how to take care of it properly ~ regular washing, products and heat usage, ect.)

***Yes, I am RELAXED and I love it.*** Sometimes it seems like a lot of naturals look down upon us ladies with relaxed hair, and I don't understand why this is when we're taking just as good care of our beautiful hair. But I also know a lot of natural haired people that are above that way of thinking and more accepting and embracing. I appreciate these people very much ;) Thank you!

I've also realized that my hair DOES grow, but for the longest my hairdresser would cut off all my progress at every visit. I last trimmed my hair in Mid July {can't remember the day but it was before I relaxed}, and I don't plan on doing any more trims anytime soon. I do search & destroys every now and then to get rid of splits.

I primarily wear my hair straightened so I moisturize and wrap every night. I usually wash every other week and do protein treatments with egg. After that I do a DC (leave conditioner on for an extended period of time) rinse, and airdry overnight and throughout the next day. I then flat iron and the cycle starts over again!
I've been doing stretches from about 10-16 weeks but the longer my hair gets, the harder it gets for me to stretch for longer periods of time. Around 11-13 weeks is a good time frame for me.
