Jamie Doyle

They say that Jamie Doyle is eight feet tall and was born with a camera in one hand and a roll of 110 film in the other. Hyperbole aside, my earliest memories all revolve around my first camera and it was not long before friends and family alike dubbed me, Mrs. Kodak. As I grew, so did my passion for photography. A passion that culminated in September of 2008 when I enrolled in The Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University where I will graduate with a certificate in Digital Photography in March of 2010.

Born and raised in Hyde Park, a neighborhood of Boston Massachusetts, I am exposed to the cultural melting pot, the dynamic geography, and the rich history of the city I still call home. Through my camera lens, I’m able to immerse myself in my surroundings; with my photos, bring life to memories from the historical days of our forefathers to the hysterical days of my youth.

An outgoing person by nature, I often befriend people who inspire the photographer in me through their daily routine. The human form is beautiful and I am frequently finding new ways to display and capture that beauty through my lens. From the intricacies of the human face to the brilliant colors of nature to the glorious man-made structures that redefine their surroundings and skyline, I draw comfort from photographing them, an effort that brings me closer to the secrets of life and understanding the human condition.

I always carry a camera with me. You never know what life moments you can capture, be it a sunset, a day at the beach, kids playing at the park, or a night out on the town. By capturing those moments I can look back at forgotten events or moments that were significant. Through my photography, I wish to provide memories that will last forever and allow people to frequently look back and be reminded of their beautiful experiences.
