I'm Jay, aka Bawb on Nappturality, the overposter, and I'd like to think I'm a strong NAPPTURAL HAIR SUPPORTER!!! I'm promising to myself NEVER to go back to the lye of creamy crack/relaxer AGAIN and learn to embrace/love my natural hair texture no matter how "unmanageable" some people claim it to be!!!!

Technically, I've been growing out my natural hair since June 2008, when I got my last CFC. In mid-July, I got really bored with my nasty, stiff, permed hair and decided to look online for some new looks. I stumbled upon a couple of natural hair sites (and some beautiful natural-haired fotki members ;D ) and I learned how perms and trying to achieve straight hair was really a killer for our natural curls. Ever since then, I've decided to become a napptural and never interrupt with my hair's natural texture again.

My goal(s) are to learn to keep my hair healthy and happy, not dwell on the media's/the norm's view of "beautiful hair" and hopefully inspire others to go natural too along the way. :D
