| | - JE-I'm Transitioning...SHOCKING... I KNOW!
- Yup, I'm transitioning...I got a weave for two months. After I took it out, my hair was HORRIBLE! That picture you see in my avatar is no more. I was distraught and still am. I figured this is the best time for me to transition(since I have lots of new growth. I haven't had a relaxer since October 2008.

I finally decided to dedicate the next year to growing my hair to no particular length. I began last year 2007 but wasn't fully committed. I accomplished one of my goals which was to grow my layers out.
My regimen:
* I wash my hair on Tuesdays and Fridays.
* On Tuesday, I wash my hair with shampoo, deep condition, then use Olive oil and blow dry.
* On Friday, I wash my hair with shampoo then use a leave in conditioner, roll my hair then sit under the dryer.
* Every third week after my perm, I use either a Aphogee Protein Treatment OR I put egg with conditioner and EVOO in my hair for an hour before I shampoo and dc.
* I do a Hot Oil treatment whenever I remember. Usually once or twice a month.
* I drink water.
*Take Vitamin B-complex, cod liver oil, and a multi-vitamin.
Things I do that seem to work:
* Relax every 5 weeks in summer/7-8 weeks in winter.
* Shampoo twice a week.
* Deep Condition once a week.
* Moisturize with Olive oil two or three times a day.
* Comb with big tooth comb.
* Scalp massages.
* Wear protective styles...mostly wigs and buns.
* Hot oil treatment.
Things I do that most would frown upon but doesn't affect my hair(yet):
* Blowdry once a week.
* I don't wear a scarf or cap to sleep.
* I don't sleep on a satin pillowcase.
* I wrap my hair RARELY...approximately 10 times a year.
I only go to the Dominican Shop when I need a perm. Other than that, I do my hair.
