My intro to fotki,

Initially, I was on a quest to learn how to improve the health of my hair while in it's current state(relaxed). While exploring various resources on how to take care of my hair, (one of those resources being fotki) I kept noticing a theme that kept surfacing, which caught my attention. It was "going natural" the process of it, recommended products to use, styles & so forth. So before I knew it, I was on board with the decision to go natural. I decided what better way could there be to take care of my hair than in it's natural state. So, I thought that it would be interesting to document my natural hair journey hoping that along the way that it may serve as a guage in my growth & progress hair wise & in knowledge, to inspire others as I've been inspired, and to just see where this journey takes me.

My Hair Stats:
*Last Relaxer Sept/07
Transistioned for 4&1/2 months.
*First BC Feb/08, then
Thermal damage occurred leading to my...
*Second BC Sept/08
Hair State: All Natural!
*Sept 2010..2nd Year Post BC & 3rd Year "relaxer free"

Hair Routine:
1. Cowash weekly.
2. Shampoo q2 weeks w/deep conditioning (pre-pooing prior).
3. Protein treatment monthly.
4. Moisturize & Seal Hair Weekly & As Needed.
5. Clarify @ least monthly & as needed. (ACV rinse)

~ I'd like to take this time to thank the wonderful and extraordinary talented members of fotki for providing such beautiful work of art on their sites. Although I began my journey with the natural hair division of fotki, I'd like to share with you all the world as I see and experience it through the eyes of my photography.
~ I would also like to give credit where it's due to an extremely talented individual, whose site was the very first site that I had ever came upon in this division of fotki. There was really no words to express how well coordinated, beautiful, and inspiring the site was. Everytime I visited the site, I felt as though I was right there where those pics were taken, and vacationing to those various parts of the world, feeling so refreshed afterwards, but realizing that I may never get to see those parts of the world in my life time. To me, anyone who has that ability to capture and allow others to experience the beauty of the world to that extent through the lens of a camera is most certainly gifted and well deserving of admiration. And, I just want to say that this individual's work has had a tremendous impact to inspire me to have a desire to have a photography division as well.
~ On this note, I would like to say that I am just a beginner, and I'm teaching myself at this point, however, if time allows, I intend to take a class here -n-there to develop my new found hobby. I am opened to all suggestions, and I invite any tips or pointers for improvement. With this being said, I hope that each and everyone of my fellow fotkians enjoy both divisions of my fotki.
