- I have had natural hair since 2002, but was always ashamed. On February 5th 2006, after I took out my braids, and having been on Nappturality.com a few times already, I decided to be myself. Yes, in the beginning, I did care what other people would say, and still do to an extent, But God is giving me the strength to be myself, and understand that no one has to like it...I am living in an audience of one, Jesus, and He loves me the way I am, actually, He MADE me the way I am. HA! I am learning to let it go and be who He made me to be, most importantly, spiritually, but also importantly, practically and physically.
