So all in all, I think it will take about two years for me to grow my hair down my back. When my hair gets long enough, I plan on doing a lot of protective styles. Maybe while I still have short hair, I may get braids or kinky twists for the winter.
I'm hoping to grow it all back curly and healthy and inspire my black and latina sisters that we don't have to continue to take the lye. We've been told that straight is better and thin is prettier. But that's not true. Our curls and kinks are unique to only us.
