**TAKE A LOOK AT MY HAIR JOURNALS!!**

Sweet Mother!! This curly journey is NOT easy!!!

Hi all!! I'm Chops, and I've been natural for the last 6 or so years (I cant really remember how long it's been!! Seems like forever!) I really only decided I wanted to go natural because I wanted to keep dying my hair and I realized I couldnt do both after I'd had my last bout with massive hair loss after a perm/dye job.

Instead of learning how to deal with my curly mass, I decided to just keep getting my hair professionally flat ironed/pressed once every couple of weeks for easy managability (aka laziness). After noticing that I kept getting split ends and horrible breakage no matter how many trims or the amount of TLC I gave my straight locs, I decided to go absolutely natural (with some straight styles on special occasions).

So here I am! Just turned 30 in all my frizzy curly glory! Some days I feel good, but most days I'm wondering what the heck I've gotten myself into! It's like I just had the Big Chop and I'm learning to understand and "like" my hair and my new appearance for the very first time. Who knows...one day I may even learn to love it!
