- I am a 22 years old and will be beginning Law School at the University of Wisconsin in a couple of weeks. I decided to go natural because I wanted to have long healthy hair and I just wasn't getting that with the relaxers. After a year of being natural I can honestly say I've never thought about getting a relaxer again, but I have thought about cutting all my hair off again. The TWA was the easiest to take care of. Right now I am working on having HEALTHY hair and trying to grow that healthy hair as long as it wants to grow. The one piece of advice that I would give to those who are going natural is, love the hair that grows out of your head!!! If you spend time trying to achieve what others have you will always be disappointed. Whether you have smooth waves, tight curls or an afro thats to the moon, its yours, so love it.
