So Yea, I have been AWOL, again!!!, but I'm back.....again.....nuff said.......LOL....
Just a short debriefing: I was so sick of how badly my hair had broken off (mostly attributed to stress and relationship problems), I cut my hair to about neck length, give or take a few inches, in April of 09. I hated it, but I knew I needed it.....since then I have been back on my game and it has been growing back nicely, except that one side of my head grows longer than the other, UGH!!%%$#......I am going to attempt this transitioning thing again, as I really want to embrace my natural hair, and to also feed my curiosity...so sit back and watch me grow :)

I will be two months post on 11-6-09
CL: ~10" as of oct (will do length check update soon)
Short-term goals: Full SL by May 2010/
APL by My B-Day (12-08-2010)
Long-Term goal: WL by my 25th Bday (12-08-2011)
Currently 12 weeks (3 months) post

I'm in Limbo about this transition thing now.....If I decide to relax again, I want to be WL or darn close by my 25th birthday, which is December 8

ETA: I RELAXED DECEMBER 4TH!!!!!!!!

Well, where do I start? First of all I have not visited my fotki account for a little over a year and I have not been taking care of my hair the way I used to (and should). I have just finished up my first semester as a graduating senior at my university and needless to say I have been so busy this fall. Well I am back on the haircare obsession and I am starting to keep up with my fotki again (as best as I can, I have one more semester so I'm going to take it day by day). I had started out in 2005 wanting to be BSL by graduation and I had every reason to think that I could but I did not keep up with my regimine. I have went from being about 3 inches from APL to barely SL so I am on a mission to see if I can reach at least APL by graduation (05-09-09!!!!) I will be putting up my starting pics and updates soon as well as my regimine so check back...{*waving*} See Ya Soon :)

This is my first experience with the Fotki website and what better way to start out then with my hair journey. When I was younger I had hair that was about armpit length. But through the years I have done so much damage to my hair that its unreal. Before, I would relax my hair about every four weeks, (not to mention all the heat and stress in between), wear tight ponytails everyday (I played basketball) and wash and condition my hair only when I got a relaxer, and I am paying for that now (thin ends, thinning edges, breakage, overprocessed hair and barely neck length). However, as soon as I discovered the message boards in BHM and LHCF I have decided to take the many challenges that are going on. This is my first year in college and my goal is to have healthy, brastrap length hair (or almost brastrap length) by the time I graduate. Right now I am focusing more on getting my hair healthy, and finding my staple products, rather than the length.

***********My current regimine(no longer following this) ********

Right now I am trying to wash and deep condition @ least once a week, I might be switching to bi-weekly but I don't know yet. But these are the current shampoos that I have and am trying to find my staple shampoo:
~ Mane`N Tail deep mositurizing shampoo
~Creme of Nature detangling conditioning shampoo
~V05 Tangarine tickle herbal shampoo
~Suave daily clarifying shampoo

For Deep conditioning I use:
~Motions CPR
~Garnier fructis 3 min masque
~LaKair Cholesterol conditioner
~EVOO
~Hollywood carrot creme
(and a couple of other things that I can't think of right now)

Other products that I have are:
~Sta*so*Fro
~ORS Tea tree oil
~Proclaim oil sheen spray
~Wild growth oil
~MTG (mixed with other stuff)

I have also placed an order for some Carol's daughter products and I hope that they will soon come in!

I think I may have finally found my staple product and regimine:

-Wash and Deep condition every 3 days with giovanni 50:50 shampoo and condition, along with some other conditioner (i.e. elasta QP hair remoisture), and sit uder the dryer for AT LEAST 45 mins.

-Apply Kids organic shea butter detangling lotion, infusium 23 and S-curl. Put a little fantasia gel w/ sparkle lites on my edges and brush ONLY my edges GENTLY and put hair in a bun and let airdry.

-1-2 times a week, if I remember, I will put WGO and Peppermint oil on my scalp.

-I only air dry, I have buried my blowdryer. I comb only on wash days, and I keep my hair in a protective style (ie. bun) until next wash day. If I need to I may take down and apply s-curl for moisture and then put back up.

-I baggie @ least every night, but I am trying to go for 24/7, I did it for a while (24/7) but got tired of it.

-I have used heat (flat iron) about 3-4 times already this year, but I am trying to cut back and not use it again until my birthday which is in December. Wish me luck!!!
