 | I have a mad passion for absolutely everything I do! I adore trying new things and consider myself very open-minded.
I have had a very interesting career history. I was ahead of myself when I obtained my skin care degree - 25 years ago there might have been 5 good spas in the US! Now...my profession is in very high demand and I plan to go back to college to get my Paramedical Skin Care degree! Until then, I will be launching my own designer jewelry website.
After my failed attempt with my esthetics degree, I worked on Wall Street in NYC serving as Liaison for the various exchanges. I also worked for two other brokerage firms in marketing/transactions/communications. Additionally, I worked for the AAA National Cruise office in Miami booking cruise lines all around the world and I worked on and off as a professional model in the bridal/lingerie industries. My last job was in corporate for a major cosmetics company. I also worked in their creative/training departments. Now I embark on putting my creative talents to use as a jewelry designer. I am also hoping to live in Puerto Rico for a year or so as I will be working with a famous designer there! I will be creating jewelry for her designs that will hit the runway in Milan 2009 or 2010! I am so excited! Whew! LOL
Now I have been bitten by the digital scrapbooking bug! LOL The elements of design and color reflect my jewelry designs so much that I have decided to go with my instincts and I will also be designing digital kits for purchase. My target for that is in time for Christmas but really it is secondary to my jewelry and that must come first. I also need to perfect my kits before I even think about offering them. So be on the lookout! *smiles*
I have raised a fantastic son who is about to embark on his future in the Culinary Arts and so many other wonderful things. I have also been married to my Air Force husband for almost 20 years. I now live between Miami and New York.
I had become ill about 6 years ago with autoimmune/neurological problems. Although they are still guessing and I'm still battling the unknown . . . I'm doing much better and like with any disease, I have more bad days than good ones - still, I take one day at a time. I will not let it stop me! *S*
When I fell ill, I discovered the wonderful world of graphic design and here I am. It's a hobby I am grateful to have discovered because not only did I discover an extremely useful talent but it also engaged my mind and creativity. I have also met some of the most fantastic and creative people in the world - You are now reading this.
