I conditioner-wash once a week and I am all about low-maintenance for my hair. Here is my current regimen:

This technique weather-proofs hair, shows natural curl-pattern, and reduces shrinkage. I only need to wash my hair once a week and because I am protecting it with conditioner all week, the detangling is pretty easy. This routine can work for all curls. Also, check me out on the Before/After section of that website! Teri is a life-saver.
~Co-wash/no-poo with plain conditioner.
~Saturate hair with White Rain in Water Blossom scent conditioner and detangle with Denman D4 brush or wide-tooth comb (not much on the scalp, it will flatten your hair)
~Leave conditioner in and let hair dry (don't touch it!)
~At night, put hair in one braid for smoother, "smaller" hair, or 2-4 braids for "bigger" hair.
~In the morning, take down braid(s), add a little conditioner + water and smooth it over my hair
