April 14, 2009 I decided to CUT IT OFF!!



I was not scared or intimidated with going natural; I had done it before or was forced is more like it. But despite the fact that I had many dumb encounters with relaxers and other chemical products. I don't hate them. I am glad we still have the option of relaxing our hair. I think the problems comes with the politics that are played when a sistah does chose to wear her hair.

Footnote: I am so glad I decided way before "GOOD HAIR" to go Natural!!

4-29-09...I have come to understand that the word "naps" has taken on such a negative term.... I LOVE MY NAPS!!
And to be honest I dont see Naps..I see curls lots of curls...I love my hair. So if the world wants to say...damn ur hair is nappy...

Hell yeah...dems my currrrllllsss!!

And it was just this time. I was 90 pounds lighter and 100 % me!


My goal is to have shoulder length hair by this time next year..

By this summer get my first two-strand twist...CANT WAIT!!

There are so many different styles I am looking forward to seeing on me.

Bantu Knots, Two Strand twist. One strand...Braids with my own damn hair...the styles are endless. I have no regrets started now. Better now then never.





Hair texture::Not sure but I believe a 3b with some 4a...I am learning as I go.








The first time I experienced the BC is when I was trying to get the curly wet look...so my dumbass decided to put in a Curly/Jery Curl in my hair, in a matter of minutes I could feel my hair turning soft. I am sure many of you have used Nair, you know how the hair gets soft and then you can just whip it away? That's exactly what my hair was doing, once I rinsed all the cream out. I looked like I was going through Chemo. I had bald spots all over the place. The only thing left to do was shave it off! I didn’t like the bald look ,but once my hair began to grown back, I was digging the new short look. But I still "lyed" to myself every 6 weeks.

Fast forward!!!!!!!!!!!!


So now 2009 I am doing it again, but this time doing it right. Getting educated through videos and pictures diaries...web searches and so much more. This journey has been an added addition to my spiritual awareness and I dig that.

I am looking forward in discovering what my true hair texture is.



What is feels like and the many different styles I can do!
