I've noticed that my hair hasn't grown much in the past year and it seems thinner. I don't know if its because I started wearing smaller twists or something else so I'm searching for hair products and routines to help my hair grow, maintain length and thickness.

I try to keep my hair maintainence simple.
1. wash
2. condition
3. mositurize
4. twist
5. leave twists in for about 1-2 weeks and wear a twist out for 1-2 days and start it again.

My hair type is 4b with 3C loose curls at the bottom 1/4 of my hair.

Update 1/30/09:
I've realized that with my hair less is more. In the beginning the only products I used were Trader Joes Nourish Spa shampoo/conditioner, Moe's hair growth oil and hair mayo. My hair grew a lot within that time span...so I think I need to go back to the basics and add some vitamins to the mix.

My hair is currently in kinky twists and from now on I will only use my wild growth oil and 1 other hair moisturizer product to hide the smell of the growth oil. I'm considering mixing shea butter, castor oil infused with horsetail herbs, coconut oil and an essential oil frangrance as my moisturizer. I will throw in monthly/bi-monthly protein treatments and bi weekly deep conditioning and keep my hair in protective syles.

I will commit to this for 6 months and then make necessary tweaks afterwards.

My goal is to rock a big afro puff by 2010.

If you have any hair growth suggestions let me know!

Update 12/17/2009:

I didn't see much growth this past year and I didn't see any changes but I did not commit to any growth methods

My routine is still simple but now I'm keeping my twists in longer and using Moe's hair growth oil.

2010 will be a year or low to no manipulation, switching between Moe's hair growth oil and Jamaican black castor oil.
