- I started this Fotki as a way to document my hair growth progress. Before starting this journey I used to go to the Dominican salon every weekend and get a blow-out and then wear my hair out EVERY day (and wrap at night). My hair would NEVER grow past SL. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. After reading Cathy Howse's book in July 2007, I decided to take her 365 day challenge. It has completely changed my hair!! I have also learned so much from the ladies on BHM and Fotki. I now wear my hair in protective styles 90% of the time and I haven't been to a salon in over a year. Currently my hair is APL and my goal for 2009 is to reach full MBL. This is my long term goal so if I can make it to that length I will just work on maintaining MBL.
