Amazingly enough when I started my journey to going natural it wasn't because I was 'SO ENLIGHTENED' or that I saw someone else wearing their hair natural and decided that I wanted to do that. My original intention for going natural is because the hairdresser that I had do my hair overprocessed and burnt my hair to a crisp. I was so upset because I put my trust in her and we were trying to work towards finding the root of my hair problem hence i went to her weekly for appointments and it got worse. I gave up going to the hair dresser and decided that I was going to just get micro's grow my hair out and get it pressed every once in a while. Well I wore micros for 3-4 months. And before getting them taking out I was terrified because I had no idea what to do with my hair so I googled black hair on the internet and came across nappturality.com and it was all she wrote from there on out. I cut my perm out of my hair in december of 2002 and have been natural ever since.

I have my ups and my downs with my hair. somedays I want to cut it all off and some days I want to rock it in a fierce style. It's all about perspective though. My hair is now longer than it has ever been and it's healthier than it has ever been so I think i'm doing alright. Well come in and enjoy the pics and leave a comment or two.
