- My regimen--which took a lot of trial and error--is as follows:
--I shampoo and DC once a week on Sunday. I wash with Keracare moisturizing shampoo and I DC with Keracare's Humecto. I DC under my hooded dryer for 20-30 mins on a semi-warm setting. --I pre-poo with Lustrasilk Shea Butter Cholesterol Plus; since it's a bit on the thin/watery side, I mix it with either castor or almond oil. --I usually don't use any protein unless I notice breakage. If I have to use it, I will use Fantasia IC Deep Penetrating Creme Moisturizer (deep conditioning treatment) or some other type of light protein. I never, ever use heavy protein, as my hair becomes quickly overloaded. --If I co-wash, which isn't often these days, I use Suave Humectant or whatever cheap condish I have on hand. --I moisturize with Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Leave in and seal with almond oil. I generally do that every other day or as needed. --As far as styling, I try not to manipulate my hair too much. I usually just braid it and tuck my ends in. If I wear it down, it will be in a makeshift braidout. (Shealoe cream applied to dry hair, then braided in several braids. I leave it in braids for a couple of hours and take it down. I throw a headband on it and it's done. It tends to get a little full, but I love full hair!) --I used to have a set relaxing schedule(every 3-4 months), but when I get busy, relaxing is the last thing I worry about. My last relaxer was in August '08. That's it! - General Information
