This is my real hair. If I'm wearing a weave or an instant weave, the description will specify. For a look at my scalp, check out the "My Video" section.

Hair Type - coarse 4a/b, texlaxed.

This is my regimen as of 11/8/09

- wash once every week with diluted shampoo

- deep condition every week under my hair steamer

- light protein/ reconstructor every week

- clarify and chelate (I've been doing this every shampoo with no negative results)

Daily - Moisturize with Bioinfusion Olive Oil Hair Lotion, use coconut oil or jojoba oil to seal.

Vitmains - Liquid multi-vitamins and minerals

*NEW* Trim - I've been trimming every relaxer to get back the thickeness I lost when I cut layers myself (don't ask, I had a moment of inspiration/madness but i'm okay)

Products I use weekly - Elucence shampoo, Aphogee 2 step Keratin reconstructor or Elucence recontructor, Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner

Relax every 10 - 12 weeks with Affirm lye regular. I self relax now but visit Reniece whenever I can.

After each wash I apply Chi Keratin Mist (just added, jury still out), Chi Silk Infusion, Lacio Lacio.

I haven't rollerset in about a year now. I let my hair airdry to about 80% then blow dry and flat iron. I use FHI Hot sauce as my heat protectant (just added, jury still out also)

OR

Airdry and do cornrows or bantu knots then finger comb out the style

When I flat iron - I do pin curls every night (about 5 big ones). OR I make a loose bun at the top of my head and use small claw clips to hold it in place. This is much faster and it can still keep my hair straight or curled (depending on its state when I pin it up).

I finger comb daily and use a comb every 2-3 days to remove shedded hair. This minimizes breakage for me on wash day.

I don't do daily protective styles, I wear my hair out every day. The only time I do protective styling is for winter when it snows.
