- Here's the 411 on my hair..
I discovered all the wonderful hair boards by accident when I was googling information a certain hair product. I don't even remember what it was, but I'm pretty sure it was something that I shouldn't been using anyway.lol That was back in 05' and I've been hooked since then. Unfortunately, I'm just now begining to document my hair process for my own personal benefit...now here 2 years later. I believe I was right at shoulder length when i first discovered the boards, but of course I've slacked and slacked some more a few times during these last couple of years..However, I'm trying not to let that happen again. ..However, I'm focused now. I am currently APL~~~~~~~> BSL(or two inches below)
~~~~~~~~MY CURRENT HAIR REGIMEN~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Shampoo & Deep Condition- I shampoo once a week(usually on Sundays) with CON(green bottle). Afterwards, I always follow up with ORS Conditioning package. I love this stuff.
*Clarifying- I clarify once a month during the last weekend of each month with Suave Clarifying shampoo. Afterwards, I proceed with my regular shampooing and deep conditioning products.
*Leave-Ins- I apply Motions Nourish Leave In Conditioner after every wash
*Moisturizing- I use either Olive Oil Hair Lotion or B&B Castor Oil hair lotion..both work great for me. I use these daily and seal with EVOO or Carrot Oil.
*Protein Treatments- I do these once a month using Motions CPR Protein Reconstructor, and I just substitue it for one of my ORS deep conditioning treaments.
*Cowashing- I began cowashing when I am 54weeks post usually on Wednesdays. This is my new growth starts to come in. I see no reason for me to begin before then since my relaxer is still fresh. I use either Garnier Frutis Conditioner or my Con moisturizing conditioner..(blue bottle)..just because i'm trying to get rid of it and don't want to throw it away. It works pretty well. After I cowash on Wednesdays, I follow up with my regular weekly hair wash on Sundays. Sometimes I try to throw in a 2nd cowash during the week whenever I can.
*Styling= braids, buns, bantu knots, twists outs, or a simple ponytail with ends tucked under for my lazy days.
*Relaxing- I try to stretch anywhere from 10 to 16 weeks. However, I haven't actually made it to 16 weeks weeks yet since I've started stretching. Hopefully, I'll get there someday soon. 12 weeks stretch is an average for me.
*Heat- I'm on a no heat regiment, but if I do use it, I use it as little as possible. <~~~(flatiron). However I haven't used ANY heat since June.....
