- I finally made it to a year of nappturality. I had my last relaxer in December 2006. I am 100% chemical free and I love it. I've had mixed reactions from friends and family, but it hasn't dampened my spirits. One of my friends is now transitioning to natural, and my younger sister is considering it also. I hope to be an inspiration to as many people as possible.
The whole transitioning phase brought me a stronger connection with myself. I learned to love my hair in all its different phases and in the process learned to love me more. For anyone who is transitioning, don't give up. There will be trying times with your hair, but stick it out...it's so worth it!
