I have always been a lover of natural hair. I have made the journey a total of 3 times now. The 1st time I did the BC I just did it w/o much thought. I went to the Barber and asked him to cut it all off. That night I went to the store purchased some color and colored my hair "Mary J" red. I loved it. But my young son HATED it. He was embarrassed to walk in the mall with me. That sadden me, so I slapped the creamy crack back in. Then I decided that was a mistake and went natural again, my ex told me I looked too much like a male, so AGAIN I let others influence me; went back to the creamy crack. This time it's permenant and final. I have researched natural hair, joined Yahoo groups, etc just so that I can stay focused and to learn how to take care of my natural hair. So now I can stand tall and know that no one can turn me from MY journey. I am happy being Nappy! So it's just NappyOleMe looking for other 'naturals' who can relate. I would love to meet more people and just discuss hair care; it's a plus if you are in STL and you have some advice to give me!
