Hi everyone,

I recently started my dreadlocks journey on the 6th of August 2007, and I have to say I am enjoying it immensely. I've been natural since 1999 and wore my hair in the 2 strand twist, twists outs, 'fros, cornrows, flat ironed, etc for 7+ years. I use apple cider vinegar twice a month and olive oil, jojoba oil with rosemary to moisturize and deep condition. I also use Dark and Lovely NATURALLY Almond Rain Oil Mist a few times a week....it varies and the products are used sparingly and not all at once. When I do re-twist I use Naani loc butter (smells yummy), and only a tiny amount is needed. I am trying to stick with as little products as possible to avoid build up.

On to year two of my loc journey.
Not much has change in my regimen. Using a clarifying shampoo now and then, still doing my ACV rinses, did a couple of baking soda and water rinses to get some gunk out (may have been conditioner, that was not washed out), it worked like a charm. Still using my olive and jojoba oil with rosemary, and have a mix with water that I spritz every other day. Thinking of a winter regimen, to keep the moisture locked in.
