Hello All. I began my natural journey October 2007. I did not transition; instead, I went cold turkey and cut all my hair off one morning. Now, I am loving every minute of it!!! Since it is summertime, I have been wearing cornrows and braids due to my busy lifestyle. I've been educating myself on how to style and care for natural hair and I must say that it was a bit overwhelming at first! However, it's all worth knowing! I would like to meet other natural beauties to share ideas, product reviews, "do's and dont's," joys, everything natural hair! I do apologize for my photos not being that "detailed." I never imagined I would have actually gone natural, let alone share photos via internet. But, I promise to upload better pics soon!

When I first started this journey, I was shampooing my hair just about everyday.....yeah, ignorant, I know! However, now I cowash almost daily, and moisturize daily! I must say that after a couple of months of cornrows and braids, I really miss my hair. So, there will lots of pictures posted from now on!!

It's been interesting seeing /hearing the different reactions to natural hair. But I must say that now, it's been nothing but positive! (It wasn't the same at first. I attribute that to my sudden, drastic change). But all in all, I am a confident Black woman who is VERY sure of herself. I refuse to be defined by anyone's standards. And if anyone asks, I LOVE MY HAIR!!!! I have never regretted my bc. Like a bottle of wine, this journey gets better with time!

I'm such a simple, low maintenance woman (I'm lying), that you wll probably notice a lot of puffs and fros in my albums. However, I plan to experiment more during my second year. (1 year - October 19, 2008!!!) So, please feel free to leave comments, suggestions, and tips, as they will be well received! Oh..............and don't forget to sign the guestbook!
