Hi world, it me NaturalMiamiSis, Fotki can be a bitch sometimes so I had to create a new account, here is a lil background info on me, I decided to go natural in late '05 (BC was in October '05). I became a fotki addict picking up great info and tips from the natural woman of fotki. I learned alot, so much so that my hair grew real long but last year changed my life, my mom was diagnosed with cancer and on February 24th 2008 she lost her fight to cancer and lupus complications. I was really close to her and since I lost my dad in '05 she was all I had aside from my lil daughter Janessa. It kinda changed me, I was so stuck in hair maintenance that I didnt kno anything else, so I chopped all my hair off and just let my hair do what it wants to do. I have a new out look on life, do what you want when you want because life is waaaay too short. My ultimate goal is to grow long tail bone length hair, I plan to allow my hair to grow in it natural state for about another year or so and then plan to relax my hair, WHY? Well because thats what I feel like doin lol IDK, it might change tho lol........... anyway enjoy my CRAZY hair albums lol

UPDATE:

I'm currently not doing my normal regimen because of the fact that Im doing sulfer treatments. So I'm following my sulfer regimen. Look below for the sulfer regimen.

PD'S CURRENT HAIR STATE:

Natural

PD'S NEXT GOAL:

Achieve neck length

PD'S CURRENT HAIR LENGTH:

1-2 inches of hair

PD'S HAIR TYPE:

3c/3b and 4/a

PD'S NORMAL REGIMEN:

Co-Washing: I co-wash once a week with Suave Naturals or Suave Humectant.

Products: I usually dowse my hair twice daily with a spray bottle of water/coconut oil or extra virgen olive oil/ and a couple of drops of conditioner and sometimes if my hair needs protien I add some infusium 23 leave-in to the mix

Styling: I LOVE protective styles so I either do twists, twist-outs, braids or braid-outs.....

Clarifying: I clarify once a month at the end of the month with either Dove shampoo, an acv rinse, a baking soda cleanse or Carol's Daughters Khoret Amen shampoo.

Deep Treatment: I usually do a deep treatment once a month after cleansing, I use ORS Mayonaisse or my own home made mix of mayo / ovocado / egg / olive oil

Straightening: I usually straighten once every 6 months for about a week (try to make it last a week atleast). I would first follow my cleanse routine, then apply protectant (havent found the right one yet) then blow dry, and then follow with my maxiglide set to 4 or 5

Triming: I would follow my cleansing routine, and then I would either do one of the two: 1. I would either have a friend trim or dust my ends (if so I would follow my straightening routine first then have my friend trim or dust my ends) or 2. I would trim my own hair using my twist & trim method (twist on wet hair and for each twist done I trim, I continue doing this until my entire head is completley trim)

PD'S SULFER REGIMEN:

I add 1 tablespoon of sublime sulfer (you can buy the sublimed sulfer at www.medichest.com) to 16 ounces of light oil (I use a mix of extra virgen olive oil and 100% castor oil) or I use Bee Mine's Strawberry/Kiwi growth serum (which contains sulfer and light oils aswell) making sure to shake it up and then appy directly to scalp via bottle nozzle right befor going to bed. I apply sparingly throughout scalp, then I massage in making sure its all up in there. Then I place a plastic cap or a plastic grocery bag on my head, tie down with scarf, put on my satin bonnet and then go to bed. In the mornings I co-wash the sulfer mix/growth serum out with Burts Bees Super Shiny Grapefruit and sugar conditioner (100% natural) and dowse my head with more water. I APPLY NO PRODUCTS TO MY HAIR DURING MY SULFER REGIMEN to avoid buildup (build-up makes the sulfer mix less effective) So I dowse my hair with water throughout the day when moisture is needed. At night I repeat and then in the mornings the cycle continues. I continue to do this for 2 months straight. If you stick to this regimen you will gain 2 inches in 2 months (as aposed to 1 inch in 2 months since the hair grows half an inch a month naturally) The sulfer allows you to gain 1 inch a month. This treatment also keeps hair very soft and moisturized as well. Be aware of the skin though, sulfer can cause dry skin patches so becareful not to add too much sulfer to your mix or if your using Bee Mines Growth Serum make sure to use sparingly on the scalp. I had dry patches the first time I used the sulfer mix aswell but through trail and error I found out the perfect amount to use where my skin wont break out. IF YOU ARE NURSING OR PREGNANT PLEASE CHECK WITH A PHYSICIAN BEFOR COMMING IN CONTACT WITH SULFER OR ANY PRODUCT CONTAINING SULFER.
