I decided to stop relaxing my hair in May 2005. Did the BC in November '05. It started out pretty rough at first, and I went back and forth wanting to get a relaxer whenever frustration set in. Having longer hair was a crutch, I used it to cover my not-so-clear skin.

Taking away the security of hiding my face, I underwent a process of learning to accept my hair and my skin the way they were -- still working on the skin part. It's been three years and I couldn't be happier about my decision. I don't think I could ever (with a clear conscience) go back to the creamy crack.
