Welcome to my hair photo albums! These are dedicated to my growth both figurative and literal as I go from relaxed to natural. This shows my journey as I become comfortable with the real me. I don't wear wigs anymore to cover my real hair from the public. Maybe sometimes, just for fun. The day I cut off the relaxed hair I felt freedom. Liberation. I began my journey to becoming a new woman. :) All who are interested in experiencing such freedom will hopefully enjoy my album. Thanks for stopping by! I am now working as a hairstylist. Although I've always loved hair, you could tell I had a love/hate relationship with mine. I put it through so much. I hope you don't make the hair mistakes I did. Look and enjoy and please leave a message. :) Char

Note to readers:
I'm trying to learn from the guys. They have beautiful hair. All they do is braid it and wash it, maybe put some grease or oil in it. There hair grows sooo long and healthy. Even if our hair doesn't constantly feel soft because we've coated it with some "miracle product" or some mighty conditioning concoction worn for hours, it can still grow long and strong and healthy. I've noticed that my mom took care of my hair when I was a kid just by plaiting it and greasing it and it was thick, healthy and shiny and long. Leave it alone, leave it alone, the more we leave it alone, the more it grows. I won't keep buying products marketed to empty my wallet with the promise of long hair when all I have to do is protect it and keep manipulation to a minimum. :) That's all we have to do, we keep searching constantly for a soft feel, but feel isn't so important. :) Mamacitas, it's easy, don't pile on the product, just do what mama did to it when we were kids. Good luck. Moisturize and protect every single day.
