- Welcome to the online photo albums of the Schooner Curling Club. Here you will find photos of club events and competitions as well as photos from general club activities. The Schooner Curling Club is a small, not-for-profit curling club that is located on a former military base in Sydney, Nova Scotia. We maintain two sheets of curling ice that have a sand base, one of only very few clubs still using sand as opposed to a concrete base. The Schooner Curling Club promotes the sport of curling in a fun and relaxed atmosphere and emphasizes the social aspects of the game.
